Cougar, Lynx, Bobcat, and Wolf Hunts

Winter cat hunts are a must do for everyone that is a hunter. There is a smaller selection of animals we can pursue in the winter months so the few creatures we can pursue get a lot of attention. It is a hunt conducted with the hound dogs. We wake at early morning hours and drive around in mostly pick up trucks, the odd time snowmobiles are required, and look for tracks. Once we find the big tom track we are after, we let the dogs play their part. I highly recommend the three cat combo on this one just do to the excitement of it all. When we finish your cougar and you see how fun and successful it was, you are going to be wishing you had more to hunt. A wolf tag is always a good idea as well. Baits will be set out and checked quite frequently throughout your adventure.

Wolves are hunted from set up bait stations in various places of the areas. This requires a lot of patience but believe me, when the moment has arrived and time to pull the trigger its a moment well worth the wait. Wolves are with out a doubt one of the hardest animals in North America to get.

*A trophy fee upon harvest of a wolf is required $1500.00. After the success of your hunt and you wished to stick around and hunt specifically for wolves a day rate of 400.00 will be required.*

Gear List

  • 7 pairs of warm socks
  • long thermal underwear
  • warm sweater, like a down jacket.
  • thick warm winter jacket (quiet gear incase we hunt a wolf)
  • wool pants
  • thin light rain gear for a wind break.
  • one lighter pair of gloves and one warm heavier pair of winter gloves
  • stocking cap
  • smaller light back pack for camera and gloves and lunch……..
  • camp slippers
  • lace up felt pack boots, whites, shcnees, lacrosse.
  • good head lamp
