Hounds are a great way to hunt Bear

Logan Peasley is one of the premier British Columbia Bear Hunting Outfitters. We start hunting around May 1st whichis a perfect time of year that my hounds and I just love. I take them out running every day for two and a half months before bear season to keep them in shape for this exhilarating time of year. There is truly no more competitive sporting way to hunt these magnificent animals. I would never knock another Outfitters method of hunting, so long as it lies within the limits of the law and is conducted in an ethical way, but I have hunted these bears using spot and stalk methods and I am here to say that it takes more dedication and hard work to pursue these bears with your dogs than it is any other way. It takes a well educated and trained guide to take a few hounds and catch these bruins. It takes a true houndsman, and someone who approaches this hunt with skill and passion. I am that houndsman.
